Wordscramble

Each unit includes a WORDSCRAMBLE activity to focus on the key vocabulary of the unit. Words are unscrambled by moving the letters into the correct order using a mouse, or stylus on an Interactive Whiteboard. Each time the activity is run a selected number of words appear from a much larger word bank, so the activity can be run a number of times with the same group of children.

The structure allows for each word to have one picture clue and two word clues. When the children believe they have the word correct they can press the check button, and either go onto the next word or get points deducted for getting it wrong. The game can therefore be played in a number of ways. Can you get the word without any clues, with just the picture clue, or with just one of the word clues, for example.
